About the stone:

Opal contains water within its structure, with the amount varying depending on the type and specimen.  It is often opaque to slightly translucent, giving it a soft, creamy appearance rather than a glass-like transparency.

Agate is a beautifully patterned variety of chalcedony, a form of quartz, admired for its distinctive bands, colors, and natural patterns. From soft neutrals to vivid reds, blues, greens, and earthy tones, agate offers remarkable variety and makes each jewelry stone visually unique. Agate forms when silica-rich fluids fill cavities in volcanic rock and gradually harden into layers. The name agate is traditionally associated with the Achates River in Sicily, where agates were known in antiquity.
