Maligano Jasper is a distinctive natural stone from Maligano, Madagascar, known for its rich earthy colors, flowing patterns, and intricate natural markings. Its appearance can range from warm browns and creams to shades of red, orange, grey and blue. Each piece can have intricate, flowing patterns and contrasting bands that make it look almost like a miniature landscape.  When polished, the stone can reveal layers and details that aren't as obvious in its rough form.
