About the stone:

African Poppy Jasper is a distinctive variety of orbicular jasper, prized for its natural patterns of rounded, flower-like markings. Its palette commonly features rich reds, oranges, yellows, cream, brown, gray, and black, creating a one-of-a-kind pattern in every piece. The name “poppy jasper” comes from the stone’s characteristic orbicular designs, which can resemble tiny poppy blossoms.  Some pieces contain concentric circles and rosettes that resemble flowers, eyes, or tiny planets. The orbicular markings can change dramatically depending on where the rough stone is cut, so even pieces from the same rock can look completely different.
